Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. What are your hours of operation? We open Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm.
2. Where are you located? We are located off Allentown Road, not far from Route 5 Branch Avenue and Interstate 95 and 495.
3. Do you provide meals and snacks or do the parents have to provide food each day? We provide all of your child’s nutritional needs with breakfast, lunch and two snacks (am and pm) each day.
4. Are you closed on all federal holidays? No, we are closed for most federal holidays except for Columbus Day because local public schools are open.
5. Do you close the center so that you can take a personal vacation and we still have to pay? No, we are aware that this practice does exist in our market place, but it is generally practiced by much smaller centers or family child care providers. This practice is not in line with our mission, values and business slogan (“Putting Your Family First”).
6. Do you close every time the public schools are closed for inclement weather?
No, we don’t align our inclement weather policy with the local public schools. We use our personal judgment because we have found that the local public schools close relatively frequently with less severe weather conditions. The frequent closings cause significant problems for our parents.
7. Does my child have to be potty trained to enroll in your daycare center? No, our experienced teachers work closely with the child and parents to encourage the child over time to take the leap of faith to transition out of diapers and pull-ups.
8. Do you accept social service vouchers or employer sponsored child care reimbursements? Yes, we accept the local government’s social service vouchers. We also accept employer sponsored child care reimbursements (i.e. federal government plans and corporate sponsored plans).
9. What forms of payment do you accept? We accept cash, check and money order. We are exploring the credit card payment option, but the fees that the credit cards charge for each transaction is high and reduce the actual funds available to pay expenses and reinvest into the business.
10. What is the child to teacher ratio? Ratios change based on multiple variables such as child’s age and daily attendance. The child to teacher ratio is governed by state law and we comply with all regulations that govern our business.
