Questions

Frequently

Asked

Is your inclement weather policy tied to the public school system?

No, we don't tie our inclement weather policy to the public school system.  We use our informed judgement to make a decision independent of any school system.  However, we do close when the Federal Government closes.

Do you provide meals and snacks?

Yes, we provide all of your child's nutritional needs with breakfast, lunch and two snacks each day.  Most child care centers have eliminated providing meals as a component of their program.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check and money order.  We are exploring the possibility of accepting debit and credit card payments.  The fees that the credit card providers charge are high and reduce the actual funds available to support our operations and re-invest into the business.

Do you accept social service vouchers or employer sponsored child care reimbursement?

As of June 29, 2015, we will no longer accept Maryland Purchase of Care Vouchers due to new rules and contingencies for childcare providers by the Maryland State Department of Education.  We believe that the new State mandates will increase our operational cost, and consequently increase weekly tuition fees for parents beyond a point where it is affordable for families in our community.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

We accept employer sponsored child care reimbursements (i.e. Federal Government plans and corporate sponsored plans).

Does my child have to be potty trained before enrollment?

No, our experienced teachers work closely with each child and parent to encourage the child over time to take the leap of faith to transition out of pull-ups.

What is the child to teacher ratio?

Ratios change based on multiple variables such as child's age and daily attendance.  The child to teacher ratio is governed by state law and we comply with all regulations that govern our business.

Do you close the center to take a personal vacation, and we still have to pay?

No, the center is open year round except for closures due to inclement weather, most federal holidays and acts of GOD.
